So here we are, near the end of the first month of our Southern California adventure. As we pack up to move to yet another rental, this time with a looming end date in mind.
How did we get here?
Well, long story shorten, after hiccup after hiccup with the first incarnation of us buying the "pool house", as the kids call it, we found ourselves without a house to move into, a rented house in San Francisco we needed to move out of and a continued urge to move forward into the unknown. With all my trust in the universe that it would indeed work out as it should, we packed all our belongings into a moving van headed for storage and moved into the floating state we have been in for the last month. We have a bag of clothes each and we have each other. As we landed here in San diego, in a temporary rental, we had signed cancellation paperwork for the pool house. Momentarily sad and not discouraged, we continued house hunting. After just a bit of looking, we got a surprise call from the realtor with news that they really wanted to sell to us. Back into contact we got and now we sit waiting for underwriting to do their work and fund our loan. I swear, we are good for it!!
BTW, the chickens are rehomed for now with the hopes we can bring them down south in the future.
